A linear wall element or linear ceiling element comprises and is formed from a woven or non-woven fiber material. Preferably， the material is thermoformable and non-woven and includes at least one of the following: two-core polyester fibers; two different types of fibers with different melting points; a blend of two-core polyester fibers and non-two-core (one-core) polyester fibers. The element is preferably shaped to provide a means for securing the element to a support. Optionally， an end section can be provided to cover the open longitudinal end of the linear element.
