VPRS 1767 Stock Record Sheets

Stock record sheets were used to record details of items acquired by the Emily McPherson College. They constitute the Colleges assets register for the period 1941 to 1975. A sheet was raised for each acquisition. Provision was made for recording descriptive information about the item, purchase details, date of acquisition, location within the College, the department responsible for the item, and write-off details.The records in this series commenced with a stock-take undertaken in 1941. Details for items already on hand were entered as best as could be. Additional sheets were raised as items were acquired. Each year, until 1957, entries were made on the sheets to show whether items were still on hand. After 1957, stock-takes appear to have become less regular, with sheets updated retrospectively when one did occur.This series was previously registered with the title Inventory.Around 1976 (possibly earlier) cards were introduced to replace the sheets (Refer VPRS 12152).
