Bacterial community relating to suppression of Meloidogyne incognita

A 6-week pot experiment was conducted to evaluate whether inoculation with a soil nematode community could suppress the infection of Meloidogyne incognita using two different field soils. Five replicates were prepared for each treatment: non-inoculated and nematode-inoculated. For next-generation sequencing, two replicates showing the median M. incognita density among five replicates were selected at each measurement time point as representatives. Bacterial communities were analyzed after 6 weeks of growth of green peppers and an additional one-month incubation. From each selected pot, two subsamples (0.5 g) were collected, and DNA was extracted from each sample.
