The Department of National Parks and Wildlife administered functions from a central Head Office Directorates (Southern, Western, Northern and Central) that devolved down to Regional Offices and then down to the individual Parks. Records held in the regional office series tend to relate to specific regional issues or sites. The regional offices had their own filing systems and were responsible for the maintenance of these files.
