资源简介:
These data consist of 27 interview transcripts, collected as part of a study titled 'Marginalised families online: Exploring the role of digital media for parents in diverse family groups'. Nine UK-based participants took part in the study. The participants were all single and/or LGBT parents who had used adoption, donor conception, or co-parenting arrangements to bring children into their lives. A brief summary of each participant's circumstances and demographic information is provided at the start of each interview transcript. Each participant took part in three interviews between December 2018 and October 2019, spaced at 4-5 month intervals. The interviews lasted 105 minutes on average. The first interview focused on participants' family lives, experiences and support channels, the second interview focused on their use of digital technologies to connect with others, and the third interview focused on how participants conceptualise their family and support networks, including a diagrammatic visualisation of these networks. The participants also shared selections of their digital media, but due to the difficulty of anonymising these data, they have not been shared publicly. In the interview data, all names of people (participants' and associated individuals) have been anonymised, as well as some place names, groups and organisations where needed. The research was approved by the Faculty of Arts ethics committee at the University of Nottingham, and consent was given by all participants to share their interview data in this repository.
