资源简介:
This study investigates the intricate roles of maternal and paternal contributions in shaping early-life traits and gene expression profiles of Eurasian perch (Perca fluviatilis) larvae. By creating unique paired crosses between wild and domesticated individuals, we disentangled the influences of each parent on offspring development, focusing on traits such as growth, swim bladder inflation, and survival. Transcriptomic analysis highlighted a dominant maternal influence, alongside a complex interaction between both parental genomes. These findings advance our understanding of parental effects in fish and hold significant implications for aquaculture breeding strategies and evolutionary biology.
