Neuropteren Deutschlands (Neuropterida of Germany)

The data portal Neuropteren Deutschlands (Neuropterida of Germany) collates species-level records of Neuropterida from all over Germany. Data can be entered or imported by collectors, observers and institutions as individual observations or as data from excursions, from collections or from publications. Observations without collection records and photographic evidence are only accepted for species that can be clearly identified. It is not possible to enter higher taxa. The aim is to generate a comprehensive database for the compilation of the Red List of Neuropterida in Germany. In addition to the species name, the observer/collector, identifier, georeferenced location and date are required. Additional information, e.g. on the habitat, can also be entered. All data entered is checked for plausibility and, if necessary, the objects are reidentified by specialists. The reference list comprises 121 Neuropterida species currently recorded in Germany and is updated as new records and name changes are made. Currently (2023), data is mainly available from records prior to 2010 from public and private collections. The Neuropterida of Germany portal was developed and is operated by the German Red List Centre (Rote-Liste-Zentrum).
