Protected Sites (ZEPA/SPAs) indicator of EU (2021)

SPAs are Natura 2000 sites that have been designated under the Birds Directive 79/409/CEE and they are strategic suitable areas for the protection of the most threatened birds species. The BirdLife International project, called Important Bird Areas (IBA), was the scientific reference point to institute the SPAs. The selected strategic areas are extremely important for the protection of birds, as they are specific areas connected to their reproduction, nutrition or migration.特别保护区（Special Protection Areas，SPAs）是依据《欧洲经济共同体第79/409号鸟类指令》划定的自然2000（Natura 2000）保护地，亦是保护受威胁程度最高的鸟类物种的战略适宜区域。国际鸟盟（BirdLife International）发起的重点鸟区（Important Bird Areas，IBA）项目，是设立特别保护区的科学参照基准。此类选定的战略区域对鸟类保护具有至关重要的意义，因为它们是与鸟类繁殖、觅食或迁徙紧密相关的特定栖息地。
