Replication package and dataset for "An Interpretable Measure of Tourism Resilience from Network Diversity and Hierarchy"

This repository contains all data, code and replication material for the article : D. Sierra-Porta, Oscar Díaz Ramírez and Mairene Tobón Ospino (2025). “An Interpretable Measure of Tourism Resilience from Network Diversity andHierarchy.” (Under review) It provides: * Raw dataset Extranjeros No Residentes (451 613 rows, Jan-2015 – Apr-2025) — monthly counts of international non-resident arrivals by destination city and country of residence, released by Migración Colombia (OpenData portal).* Clean panels * `city_month_metrics.csv` – 150-city monthly panel with strength (arrivals), Shannon entropy of origin markets, Katz centrality and residuals. * `city_resilience_summary.csv` – city-level resilience descriptors (pre-shock diversity, shock-period hierarchisation, quadrant labels).* Analysis notebook `TourismResilience_Replicable_v2.ipynb` reproduces every figure, table and robustness check reported in the paper. It relies only on open-source Python libraries (pandas, networkx, numpy, matplotlib) and executes in < 5 min on a standard laptop.* Figures (PNG, 300 dpi) – resilience plane, quadrant zooms, robustness scatter. * Supplementary tables – monthly regression diagnostics, city lists by quadrant, interquartile-threshold comparison. The materials enable full replication of the study’s two-window resilience framework (2018–2019 baseline, 2020–2021 shock) and can be adapted to other countries by replacing the raw arrivals table.
