This thesis examines how medical students process and understand medical terminology in English from a cognitive linguistic perspective. The study explores the cognitive mechanisms involved in comprehending, storing, and using medical terms, focusing on semantic, morphological, and contextual factors. It also analyzes the strategies medical students employ when encountering complex and unfamiliar terminology. By investigating the relationship between linguistic structure and conceptual understanding, the research highlights the challenges medical students face in mastering English medical vocabulary.
