Environmental education faces significant challenges in increasing public un-derstanding of renewable energy sources such as biogas, especially in rural areas that are simultaneously experiencing tourism development. This study aims to introduce an interactive learning medium based on Augmented Reali-ty (AR) in the form of a 3D diorama called Bio-Cycle AR Diorama. This media was developed to enhance knowledge about biogas in Bendosari Tour-ism Village, Pujon District, Malang Regency. Unlike conventional media such as posters or printed brochures, which are often less engaging and lim-ited in conveying information, this AR-based media is designed to provide visitors with a more engaging, immersive, and interactive learning experience. Through the AR application, users can directly interact with educational con-tent about the biogas production process, its benefits, and its relevance to en-vironmental issues. This research employs the Design-Based Research (DBR) approach by involving local communities and visitors in the evalua-tion process of the developed media. The test results using the User Experi-ence Questionnaire (UEQ) with 60 respondents showed that the use of this AR media successfully increased user engagement and their understanding of biogas, and also received positive feedback regarding its visual appeal and in-teractive experience. Therefore, this study concludes that integrating AR technology into educational tourism can enhance the learning process of visi-tors and serve as a more effective and engaging alternative for delivering en-vironmental and renewable energy education messages.
