European Assessment of Forest Fires Severity and Recovery

This repository contains quantification of forest fire regimes in UE27 countries based on the Composite2Change algorithm and the Fire CCI data from the Copernicus Climate Change Initiative from 2001 to 2020. Files include: FireCCI_C2C-001.rar: a raster file at 30 spatial resolution in TIFF format with 14 layers, one for each C2C change metric, for each year. plot.rar: example distribution of three change metrics for each of the 27 UE countries. csv.rar: spreadsheet in CSV format containing all 12 change metrics for each country. The figures in the plot.rar folder are generated from this dataset. poly.rar: polygon files in gpkg format of fire boundaries with 24 attributes corresponding to the mean and standard deviation values of each change metric, for each year UE27.gpkg: Polygon file of UE27 countries used for the extraction of the other dataset Each folder and metadata information is described in the relative document for Milestone 3.2 of the NextGenCarbon project founded by the European Commission (Grant agreement ID: 101184989)
