Multi-drug resistant Salmonella enterica subsp. Rissen isolated from Mato Grosso, Brazil.

In a recent study, we have identified a strain of Salmonella enterica subsp. Rissen that exhibits resistance to multiple antibiotics. These strains were isolated from poultry meat in the state of Mato Grosso, Brazil. Salmonella is a well-known pathogen responsible for causing foodborne illnesses worldwide, and the emergence of multi-drug resistant strains poses a significant challenge to public health.
