非洲是世界上发展最快的大洲之一,需要及时了解非洲大陆的生态环境变化状况,支持全球变化研究。2014年非洲土地覆盖制图基于多种卫星遥感数据,建立了目前现势性最强的非洲土地覆盖数据库,并针对重点土地覆盖类型和重点区域的变化开展了监测。在非洲国家2014年土地覆盖面积结果分析的基础上,依据国土面积、国内生产总值(GDP)、人口、对外经贸关系等,选择了13个国家,比较分析了土地覆盖状况。针对非洲重要土地覆盖类型变化及其环境影响,选择4个典型区域分析了2000、2014年间土地覆盖变化,具体包括尼罗河下游农田变化、刚果盆地东部森林变化、维多利亚湖周边城市化、萨赫勒草原变化。本数据集压缩后的数据量为3.58GB,共享方式为完全开放共享。
Africa is one of the fastest-growing continents globally, and timely monitoring of eco-environmental changes across the African continent is critical for supporting global change research. The 2014 African Land Cover Mapping initiative established the most up-to-date African land cover database currently available based on multiple satellite remote sensing datasets, and conducted monitoring of changes in key land cover types and priority regions. Based on the analysis of 2014 land cover area statistics across African countries, 13 nations were selected based on their territorial area, gross domestic product (GDP), population, foreign economic and trade relations and other relevant criteria, followed by a comparative analysis of their land cover statuses. Focusing on the changes of major African land cover types and their associated environmental impacts, four typical regions were selected to analyze land cover variations between 2000 and 2014, specifically including farmland changes in the lower reaches of the Nile River, forest cover changes in the eastern Congo Basin, urbanization around Lake Victoria, and grassland changes in the Sahel. The compressed data size of this dataset is 3.58 GB, and it is fully openly shared.
