资源简介:
Eudaimonia-based psychological well-being (PWB) and hedonia-based subjective well-being (SWB) are two distinct yet interconnected aspects of positive psychological functioning, both of which have unique value in evaluating and interpreting well-being and can complement each other. As a highly malleable character strength conducive to the healthy development of individuals, it is of great significance to study the relationship between grit and well-being. However, there are currently several issues in this field: Existing studies have consistently found that grit is related to PWB and SWB, but most of them have utilized cross-sectional designs that fail to reveal the longitudinal predictive effects of grit on PWB and SWB. Additionally, existing studies lack an integrated view on the causal relationship between grit and both types of well-being within a unified research framework. Drawing from organismic value theory and eudaimonic activity model, we presumed the temporal profile and stability of the effect of girt on well-being may differ across various time span. Specifically, we predicted while grit is a short- and long-term predictor of PWB, there may be a lag in the predictive effect of grit on SWB. To test our hypothesis, we used diary methodology and designed a longitudinal survey subsequently.
