资源简介:
This survey was carried out by the so-called Tammerfors Group under the Danish Data Association (Dansk Dataforening) with the purpose of evaluating the reliability and validity of and 'put some figures on' the more qualitative results arrived at in a number of future workshops which had technology as a central theme. # In February 1988 the Tammerfors Group decided to initiate both the future workshops and this survey. The questions were formulated by the Group which in this phase was enlarged by the contact man at AIM A/S. # On the basis of reports from the future workshops a list was made of more than 100 questions. The list had to be reduced considerably because of economic considerations and the result was a suitable mixture of simple yes/no questions, simple attitudinal questions, more elaborate attitudinal questions and questions regarding priority ordering within the following groups of themes: Expectations of the future in Denmark; which forms of new technology will become most important within the next 20 years, for society and for the respondent; which forms of new technology and facilities does the respondent know, how are they assessed, and which of them does the respondent use in the home or at the place of work. The respondent considers a number of statements on new technology and assesses various words and views of relevance to a complete analysis of attitudes, including the need for (further) education. The respondent's overall attitudinal prophile is examined by means of a series of questions, including questions about the respondent's wish to establish her/his own company. Finally, an attempt is made at mapping out the respondent's wishes as regards future life, and at examining the role of technology in this future life - in various social sectors as well as at the respondent's level of influence. In order to make it possible for the respondents to elaborate on the answers the interviewer handed out paper and an addressed envelope so that the respondent could describe in her/his own words any wishes as regards the use of technology in future society. A little less than 25% took this opportunity of elaborating on the answers. These qualitative responses are not included in the dataset, but they are, to some extent, cited in the survey report from the Tammerfors Group
