CTD and current meter data in Corsica Channel (N Tyrrhenian Sea), 1975-76

During June and July 1975 and August 1976 the Istituto Idrografico della Marina Militare, collaborating with the Istituto di Fisica dell'Atmosfera, performed hydrological and current meter measurements in the Corsica Channel in order to study the circulation in this area. Current meter measurements were performed during June and July 1975, at depths of 150 and 300 meters, in four stations inside the area delimited by 9deg 30'E to 10deg E and 42deg 40'N to 43deg N. The sampling interval was 10 minutes. Hydrographic measurements were performed during August 1976 in a grid of stations covering the area north of the channel. Vertical profiles of temperature and salinity were obtained, and density calculations performed. T-S diagrams were drawn for each station.
