Code and data for: Sediment redox-associated conditions structure the microbiomes of horseshoe crab (Limulus polyphemus) eggs through environmental filtering

This dataset contains the metadata, processed 16S rRNA gene amplicon data, R analysis scripts, and derived result tables associated with a study of horseshoe crab (Limulus polyphemus) egg and adjacent sand microbiomes from Zach's Bay, Jones Beach State Park, Long Island, New York. The files support analyses of microbial community diversity, paired egg-sand community differences, differential abundance, biomarker identification, and population-cluster overlap across egg and sand samples from beige, visually oxidized sediments and dark, visually reduced sediments. Raw sequence reads are available separately from the NCBI Sequence Read Archive under BioProject PRJNA1469243.
