Compares the related work of the SEMANTICS 24 paper "Enabling Delayed-Answer Auctions for RDF Knowledge Graphs Monetisation". To implement Delayed-Answer Auction (DAA) model we need to execute a SPARQL top-k query with the scoring function "Value of sponsorhip bid" while at the same time introduce a delay in answer delivery according. The general problem is the efficient execution of SPARQL Top-K queries for general scoring functions, which has been tackled for the exact top-K in "Efficient Execution of Top-K SPARQL queries" and for an approximated top-K in "Pay-as-you-go Approximate Join Top-K Processing for the Web of Data". Our point is that for DAA we can directly optimise the specific type of SPARQL query required with a custom index that ensures sorted access. The introduction of a delay in SPARQL top-k queries has been tackled in "Processing SPARQL Top-k queries Online with Web Preemption" using the "Web Preemption" mechanism, however, this only guarantees early pruning instead of early termination, when combined with sorted access, we can also have early termination for a DAA.
