whole exome sequencing of differentiated thyroid cancer organoid and paired tissue

Radioiodine (RAI) therapy plays an important role in the management of differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC), but approximately 2/3 of DTC with distant metastasis tend to de-differentiate and become RAI-refractory DTC (RAIR-DTC). In this study, we developed a primary tumor derived organoid model to predict RAI uptake of tumor residue. This research filled the blank of organoid technique application in nuclear medicine and provided an in vitro model to recognize RAI-R DTC patients before RAI treatment.
