Worldwide: Passenger transport modal split 2022 and 2030

In 2022, more than half of all land-based passenger trips worldwide were made by internal combustion engine vehicles. This share is projected to nearly halve by 2030, with electric vehciles gaining ground. In addition, rail, micro-mobility, and shared mobility are expected to increase their mode shares.
