Sitefinder Mobile Phone Base Station Database

The Sitefinder dataset contains point locations for mobile phone base stations in the UK. The dataset was released by Ofcom in March 2013 at the end of an extremely protracted legal battle for public release of the data under the Environmental Information Regulations. While this dataset is the most comprehensive publicly available record of base station locations, some of the information is incomplete and/or out of date. Please see the notes enclosed with the data. The raw data was publicly released by Ofcom as a .xlsx spreadsheet on the Sitefinder website, and includes British National Grid and Irish Grid references. The copy available here is in shapefile and csv formats with WGS84 latitude and longitude coordinates added by Owen Boswarva.
