资源简介:
This data publication contains meteorological tower data collected from 1988-2020 at the Glacier Lakes Ecosystem Experiments Site (GLEES), in the Snowy Range near Centennial, Wyoming. Data include hourly air temperature, solar radiation, relative humidity, scalar wind speed, wind direction, soil temperature, snow depth and wet-dry sensor measurements. The GLEES, a 600 hectare research watershed at 3200-3400 meters elevation in the Snowy Range of southeastern Wyoming, was established in 1987 to examine the effects of atmospheric deposition on alpine and subalpine ecosystems. The site is not in a designated wilderness area, but was selected for research because it closely replicates conditions in federally designated Class I wilderness.Additional information about the Glacier Lakes Ecosystem Experiments Site can be found at https://www.fs.fed.us/rmrs/experimental-forests-and-ranges/glees-glacier-lakes-ecosystem-experiments-site. The first edition of these data was made available on 10/03/2006 (Korfmacher and Hultstrand [2006]). The second edition includes 11 additional years of data, a few updates to previously published data (e.g. unreliable variables removed and data edits), along with a few minor metadata updates and was made available on 2017. This third edition includes 1988 data as well as data from 2017-2020. New variables (added in 2017) include snow depth and air temperature at 5 meters above ground. In addition, the user now has the ability to access these data via a query database.
