资源简介:
The China Wall site, 48AB1, is a multi-component campsite that yielded five features dating approximately 7000 BP. The site is located at the western end of Sybille Canyon in the Laramie Range in southeastern Wyoming. Ten lithic artifacts have been analyzed for possible protein residues to provide information concerning animal resources that might have been hunted and/or processed using these tools. Fifty-six pollen samples collected stratigraphically also were examined to provide paleoenvironmental information for this area. Previous pollen analysis of features was conducted to identify economic activities at the site. Results of the previous feature study, as well as the new feature samples, will be presented after discussing the new interpretations from stratigraphic pollen samples. One new sample from Feature 13 fill and another submitted as a control sample collected near Feature 13 were examined for pollen.
