The Yanong Glacier, situated in the Kangri Karpo Mountains (KKM) of the southeastern Tibetan Plateau, represents the largest monsoon temperate glacier in the region. In recent years, the glacier has undergone significant retreat due to global warming. This dataset is based on high-resolution UAV orthophotos collected during field campaigns in 2022 and 2023, integrated with deep learning techniques to extract surface crevasse features at the terminus of Yanong Glacier. The dataset provides comprehensive information regarding the orientation, length, width, and area of each identified crevasse. The dataset comprises two primary files: vector data of surface crevasses at the glacier terminus, extracted using deep learning techniques for July 2022 and August 2023. This dataset effectively captures the spatial distribution and temporal evolution of surface crevasses from 2022 to 2023, thereby reflecting dynamic changes in surface flow velocity and highlighting the heterogeneity of internal glacier stresses. Such data are invaluable for researchers aiming to quantify glacier mass balance and derive surface flow velocities. Furthermore, these insights enable the parameterization of crevasse-related processes in numerical models, ultimately contributing to a more comprehensive understanding of glacier dynamics and their response to climate change.
