Current Population Survey, January 1973

<p>The file provides data on labor force activity the week prior to the survey. Comprehensive data are provided on the employment status, occupation, and industry of persons 14 years and over. Characteristics such as age, sex, race, marital status, household relationship, education background, and Spanish origin are shown for each person in the household enumerated. Data are also provided concerning job tenure and occupational mobility areas such as length of time in current job, reason for initiating job search, time spent and procedures used in job search, length of time unemployed and benefits obtained. Additional information on distance between job and home, occupational and educational courses taken, hours worked per week, hourly wage and weekly earnings is also provided.</p>
