The ecosystem model of the Cosmonaut Sea, East Antarctica

An ecosystem model and related dataset for the Cosmonaut Sea, representing the average annual state from 2020 to 2025. 1. Details of the isotope data are provided in "Isotope_data.xlsx". The sheet Station Information contains latitude and longitude coordinates, water depth, and sampling date of the sampling stations. The sheet Isotope composition presents carbon and nitrogen isotope compositions (δ values), together with trophic enrichment factors (Δ values) used for stable isotope analysis. 2. Diet composition (DC) matrix was computed using the MATLAB script "BASIM_V1.m"; an example input dataset for this script is provided in "DC_example.xlsx" (MATLAB 2024b was used for code development). 3. Input data for the calibrated Ecopath with Ecosim (EwE) model are available in the original model file "Cosmonaut Sea, East Antarctica_V1.EwEmdb". All output data can be accessed within the model, which was constructed using EwE 6.7.0. 4. Code for food web module partitioning and modularity index calculation is given in "FW_Modularity.m". The file "A_example.mat" contains example input data for this code, in the form of a directed adjacency matrix.
