The dataset is based on **Statistics Denmark’s official municipality-level income data**, further refined to the **parish level** by the Geolocet data science team. Using robust statistical methods and relevant socioeconomic variables, Geolocet provides a granular, accurate picture of income distribution across the country.
### 💾 Files Included
The dataset package contains two files for flexible analysis:
#### 1️⃣ CSV File (`Denmark_Income_Indicators_Parish.csv`)
A tabular dataset suitable for direct use in Databricks, Python, R, or spreadsheet applications.
**Fields:**
- `Parish_ID` — Unique parish identifier
- `Parish_Name` — Official parish name
- `Municipality_Name` — Municipality to which the parish belongs
- `AVG_HInc_B` — Income band code (e.g. *Band 01*, *Band 10*)
- `AVG_HIncBD` — Income band description (e.g. *Low income*, *High income*)
- `Population` — Estimated parish population
- `Data_Source` — Indicates modelled data based on Statistics Denmark
#### 2️⃣ Shapefile (`Denmark_Income_Indicators_Parish.shp`)
A polygon layer for use in GIS tools (QGIS, ArcGIS, etc.) or geospatial libraries like GeoPandas.
