Our study is a 16S rDNA amplicon-based investigation of mofette and thermal waters from the Cheb Basin, NW Bohemia. Waters were sampled in October 2014. DNA was extracted from filters. Geochemical characterization of the waters has been conducted. For biological analysis, we applied qPCR and MiSeq 16S rDNA analysis for 12 samples and looked for correlations to geochemical parameters. Additionally, DNA from 0.5 g of associated pool sediment material was extracted.
