Escherichia coli strain K-12 substrain DH10B. This strain is a substrain of K-12. It was derived from DH10 (which was derived from MC1061 which in turn was derived from M182). It is a common laboratory strain. The source of DNA was commercially competent cells used in BAC library construction at Baylor.
