In this study, antisense oligonucleotides (LNA GapmeR) were utilized to silence Malat1 long non-coding RNA expression in the nucleus of mouse embryonic stem cells to study how Malat1 affects gene expression in these cells. Overall, this study proposes a model wherein Malat1 modulates splicing and transcriptional regulation through distinct pathways in mouse embryonic stem cells.
