Oyster-driven carbon storage in sediment: insights from a half-century farming record

Data include: Climate History, Sediment Characteristics, and microbial communityClimate data including monthly average surface water temperature and chl-a, since the initiation of intensive farming were obtained from the Polarwatch satellite data (https://polarwatch.noaa.gov/) with a resolution of 5 km. Sediment characteristics were collected from sediment core, Three sediment cores were collected in July 2024 using gravity corer (PVC pipes, 1 m in length and 9 cm in diameter) at S1, S2, and S3. Microbial community were analyzed from 16s based rRNA gene sequences.
