Pollen and charcoal data inffered from Lake Gorzyńskie, western Poland

The presented dtaset originates from pollen and macroscopic charcoal analyses of the sediment sequence from Lake Gorzyńskie in western Poland. The 10.45 m-long core spans roughly the last 13,250 years, covering both the Late Glacial and the Holocene. It includes pollen percentages and macroscopic charcoal sums and concentrations, providing information on past vegetation dynamics and fire activity. This dataset enables a detailed reconstruction of fire history and its drivers, offering insights into the interactions between climate variability, human activity, and vegetation change throughout successive cultural and environmental phases in the Polish Lowlands.
