VPRS 7709 Records of the Board of Inquiry into the Sale of Packaged Beer

This series comprises records generated by the Board of Inquiry appointed to investigate whether the sale of packaged beer below recommended prices was inconsistent with the provisions outlined in Section 3 of the Liquor Control Act 1968. The Board concluded that discounting of packaged beer was harmful to the liquor industry and recommended the amendment of the Act, through the addition of a new Section 11A, to provide for a fixed minimum price as determined by the Liquor Control Commission.Series comprises six major types of records.Submissions and letters receivedSubmissions have been placed in rough chronological order within ring folders, for sole Board member L.S.
