Microbial community involved in the dyeing wastewater treatment process using microbial fuel cells

This study investigated the microbial community in Microbial fuel cells (MFC). Two reactors were operated with either starch or ethanol as the carbon source: one with sludge-only inoculated anodes (MFCS) and one with magnetite-preinoculated anodes (MFCM). Microbial communities were analyzed from the anode biofilms of both MFCS and MFCM reactors.
