Isabgol (Plantago ovata Forsk.) is an economically important medicinal crop having pharmacological activity in husk and has high export value in India. Very little attention has been given to this crop and hence lags behind in molecular research. In this context, genome sequencing of an elite Isabgol genotype, GI-3 was carried out with an aim to generate genomic resources.
