To investigate the harmful impacts of harmful algal blooms (HABs), particularly Alexandrium tamarense, on marine ecosystems. Through acute toxicology experiments, the study assessed the effects of A. tamarense and its paralytic shellfish toxins (PSTs) on the early life stages of Larimichthys crocea and conducted a transcriptomic analysis to explore the molecular mechanisms of toxin action.
