Die Zeit meines Lebens The time of my life

Ein Verständnis menschlicher Lebenszeit wird vorgestellt, in dem Leben und Zeit als komplexe holistische Bedeutungskonstruktionen begriffen werden. Bei der Untersuchung solcher Konstruktionen spielen lebensgeschichtliche Erzählungen sowie andere narrative Formen menschlicher Selbstvergewisserung eine zentrale Rolle, da sie eine Perspektive auf die individuellen wie die kulturellen Aspekte von Identität als ein Sein in der Zeit eröffnen. Aus einer kulturpsychologischen Warte werden Probleme, die mit der Untersuchung von kulturell verschiedenen Vorstellungen von Lebenszeit und ihrer autobiographischen Artikulation aufgeworfen werden, erörtert. Dabei werden anthropologische, philosophische und kulturhistorische Diskussionen zum Verhältnis von Lebenszeit und Weltzeit mit einbezogen. This paper presents an understanding of human lifetime that conceives of our concepts of life and time as complex holistic meaning constructions. In the investigation of such constructions, life stories and other narrative forms of human self-understanding play a central role because they open up a perspective on individual and cultural aspects of our identity as a being in time. From a cultural-psychological point of view, the article discusses problems raised by the examination of culturally diverse ideas of lifetime and their autobiographical articulation.
