It was established in accordance with EU Regulation (EU) 2013/543 and officially launched on 5 January 2015. The platform provides foundational information including power generation, load, transmission and system balancing for electricity markets across European countries, aiming to improve the transparency of electricity markets and advance the development of the internal European electricity market.
