Rangifer tarandus rumen microorganisms breed:Nenets breed Metagenome

The rumen microbiome of reindeer (Rangifer tarandus) from various regions of the Russian Arctic (Murmansk region, Nenets and Yamalo-Nenets district) was analyzed. Samples of rumen content of individuals with different age were collected during the summer and winter of 2017. The influence of various factors on the composition of the rumen microbiome (seasonality, age, gender) was studied .
