Field experiment data set of soil microbial characteristics in responses to fertilizer regulation in different farmlands of China from 2000 to 2025

This dataset integrates field experiment data on the effects of fertilization on soil microbial characteristics in Chinese farmland, which is composed of published literature and long-term positioning test data. The data set consists of 849 sample records. It includes three data tables : general table (849×71 fields ), literature collection data table (772×71 fields ), field test monitoring data table (77×69 fields ). The data set included soil basic physical and chemical properties, microbial biomass carbon and nitrogen, microbial community structure data based on phospholipid fatty acid ( PLFA ) analysis ( including total PLFA, bacteria, fungi, actinomycetes, Gram-positive bacteria and negative bacteria content and their ratios ), and key soil enzyme activities related to carbon and nitrogen cycles (β-glucosidase, β-cellobiose hydrolase, β-N-acetylglucosaminidase, leucine aminopeptidase, phosphatase ). Additionally, the dataset includes bibliographic references (author, year, title), environmental context of experimental sites (geographic location, climate, ecosystem, cropping system, soil type), and experimental treatments.
