Influence of ICME flux rope helicity on geoeffectiveness via the Russell–McPherron effect
收藏资源简介:
Each file contains the following components: (1) STORMI data extracted from analysis profiles used in the study “Influence of ICME flux rope helicity on geoeffectiveness via the Russell–McPherron effect.” The dataset includes the following columns: month, tilt_deg, twist_sign, Bx_nT, By_nT, Bz_nT, and STORMI_index_nT. (2) A derived subset of the Wind ICME catalogue comprising 311 events between March 1995 and April 2021 that exhibit flux-rope-like signatures. This subset was compiled as part of the analysis presented in “Influence of ICME flux rope helicity on geoeffectiveness via the Russell–McPherron effect.” The original and complete Wind ICME catalogue is maintained by Teresa Nieves-Chinchilla and her team at NASA and is publicly available at https://wind.nasa.gov/. For each selected event, this derived dataset adds: (i) the corresponding day of year (DOY), (ii) a link to a PNG file showing the ICME modeling results, and (iii) the magnetic helicity inferred from that modeling.
