Data and reproducibility package for "Community Mental Health Workforce Capacity and Official Early Psychiatric Readmission Indicators in Italy: A Longitudinal Ecological Panel Study"

This record contains the data and computational materials supporting a longitudinal ecological panel study of lagged medical-nursing workforce density in Departments of Mental Health and official provider-side early psychiatric readmission indicators reported through Italy’s Hospital Discharge Records system (Schede di Dimissione Ospedaliera; SDO). The frozen panel comprises the 19 Italian Regions and the Autonomous Provinces of Bolzano/Bozen and Trento over outcome years 2015–2024 (210 Region/Autonomous Province-year observations); the primary complete-case sample contains 205 observations. Source blanks were retained as missing and no imputation was performed. The package includes certified frozen CSV and RDS files, a SHA-256 data-freeze manifest, the locked Statistical Analysis Plan, outcome-definition documentation, plain-text CSV exports of source-workbook documentation and outcome-audit sheets, R scripts, compact certified model-result files, manuscript-table source files, and quality-control and session records. It contains only publicly available aggregate data and no individual-level or personally identifiable health data. The confirmatory analysis used Poisson pseudo-maximum likelihood with Region/Autonomous Province and outcome-year fixed effects, the logarithm of eligible ordinary psychiatric discharges as an offset, and inference based on 21 Region/Autonomous Province clusters and a restricted null-imposed wild cluster score bootstrap.
