The project comprises the de novo assembly of reads from cDNA libraries constructed from Eragrostis curvula inflorescences sequenced on 454-GS-FLX sequencing instrument (Roche). The plants consisted of one apomictic and one sexual tetraploid accession. The RNA samples were derived from spikelets with basal flowers at the beginning of anthesis, containing embryo sacs at all developmental stages. Assembly was conducted through Newbler
