The impact mechanism of Desire Invasion on Healthy Dietary Choices

Four experimental studies were conducted to examine the impact of psychological simulation on the willingness to choose healthy food. A total of 1518 participants were recruited through the online experimental platform Credamo. The dataset consists of raw data related to the remaining valid samples that have failed attention detection and made incorrect judgments on contextual content. They are presented in Excel spreadsheet format, and the individual results of each variable item and the average value of the target variable are statistically analyzed. Among them, Experiment 1 is to test whether providing healthier options increases the willingness to choose food, and whether this process is mediated by health perception. Experiment 2 aims to test whether psychological simulation, namely process simulation and outcome simulation, has a moderating effect on the relationship between health options and health perception. Experiment 3 aims to test whether regulatory orientation, namely profit seeking simulation and avoidance simulation, has a moderating effect on the relationship between health options and health perception. Experiment 4 is to test whether there is a joint regulatory effect between psychological simulation and regulatory orientation.
