During the lockdown period in France in 2020, the French people started to stock up on basic necessities and informing themselves online, proving that search queries regarding retail activities and grocery shopping were on the rise. Supermarket brand queries saw some growth rates on Google, with the food delivery specialist Houra having had 643 percent more requests from February to March 2020.
