This dataset contains the experimental data for the ERIES-ACCREFOIL project. The goal of the project is to study the ice accretion over an airfoil profile used in wind turbines for different angles of attack and high Reynolds numbers as well as to study its aerodynamic performance. The tests consisted in the following tasks: 1. Ice accretion tests Tests under the conditions in Table 1 were conducted for studying the ice accretion over the modified NACA 63-3-620 profile (with 4% curvature instead of 2%). The forces acting on the model during the ice accretion tests were recorded at a sampling frequency of 1Hz. Table 1. Characteristics of the ice accretion tests. Static tests Measurements of the time-dependent forces and pressures around the fixed modified NACA 63-3-620 profile (with 4% curvature instead of 2%) for different angles of attack and smooth and turbulent flow conditions. The forces were measured with a sampling rate of 300Hz, meanwhile the pressures at a rate of 1000Hz. The characteristics of the different tests are presented in Table 2. Table 2.
