Amphibian responses to introduced trout

This dataset refers to an experimental study conducted to assess the effects of introduced rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) on tadpoles of the native showy leopard frog (Lithobates spectabilis) in Mexico. The study included three laboratory experiments designed to analyze:
a) Effects of trout visual cues: behavioral changes of Lithobates spectabilis tadpoles were evaluated in the presence and absence of visual cues emitted by a rainbow trout (Sheet 1).
b) Effects of trout chemical cues: responses of tadpoles to chemical cues emitted by trout through water (Sheet 2).
c) Long-term effects of chemical cues in interaction with tadpole density: the experiment evaluated how trout chemical cues and tadpole density influence growth, development (Sheet 3) and survival of tadpoles (Sheet 4).
