狍-1原产于中国黑龙江、吉林、辽宁等，地方品种，耐粗饲、优质，圈养，茸用、肉用。中小型鹿科动物，体长小于100cm，尾长2-3cm，体重大于25Kg。鼻吻裸出无毛，眼大，有眶下腺，耳短宽而圆，内外均被毛。颈和四肢都较长，后肢略长于前肢，蹄狭长，有敖腺，尾很短，隐于体毛内。雄性具角，角短，仅有三叉，无眉叉，主干离基部约9厘米分出前后二枝，前枝尖向上，后枝再分歧成二小枝，其中一枝尖向上，一枝向后而偏内，角基部有一圈表面粗糙的节突，主干上同样有许多小节突。冬毛为均一的灰白色至浅棕色。吻部棕色，鼻端黑色，两颊黄棕色，耳基黄棕色，耳背灰棕色，耳内淡黄而近于白色，耳尖黑色。额、颈和体背为暗棕而稍带棕黄色，下颌淡黄，喉灰棕，腹部淡黄色。四肢外侧沙黄色。内侧较淡。尾淡黄色，臀部有明显的白色块斑。夏毛短而薄。从咀到尾以及四肢的背侧都是纯黄棕色，背中线附近较深，腹面从胸部、鼠蹊部以至四肢内侧均为淡黄色。保护区、保种场、低温、其他方式保存。
Pao-1 is a local breed originally distributed in Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning and other regions of China. It features tolerance to roughage, high quality, and is suitable for captive breeding, with applications in velvet production and meat production. As a small-to-medium-sized cervid, it has a body length of less than 100 cm, tail length of 2-3 cm, and body weight over 25 kg. Its nasal muzzle is naked and hairless, with large eyes and infraorbital glands. The ears are short, wide and round, covered with hair on both inner and outer surfaces. The neck and limbs are relatively long, with hind limbs slightly longer than forelimbs; the hooves are narrow and long, with tarsal glands. The tail is very short and concealed within the body hair. Males possess short antlers with only three tines and no brow tine. The main stem of the antler splits into anterior and posterior branches approximately 9 cm from the base: the anterior branch points upward, while the posterior branch further divides into two small branches, one pointing upward and the other pointing backward and medially. There is a ring of rough-surfaced tubercles at the base of the antler, and many small tubercles are also present on the main stem. For winter pelage, it is uniformly grayish-white to light brown. The muzzle is brown, the nose tip is black, the cheeks are yellowish-brown, the ear base is yellowish-brown, the dorsal side of the ear is grayish-brown, the inner side of the ear is light yellow to nearly white, and the ear tip is black. The forehead, neck and dorsal body are dark brown with slight yellowish-brown tints; the mandible is light yellow, the throat is grayish-brown, and the abdomen is light yellow. The outer sides of the limbs are sandy yellow, while the inner sides are paler. The tail is light yellow, and the buttocks have distinct white patches. In summer, the pelage is short and thin. The coat from the muzzle to the tail and the dorsal sides of the limbs is uniformly yellowish-brown, with deeper color near the dorsal midline. The ventral surface, ranging from the chest and inguinal region to the inner sides of the limbs, is light yellow. This breed can be conserved via nature reserves, breeding conservation farms, low-temperature storage and other preservation methods.
