资源简介:
Numerical simulations (nonlinear dynamic analyses) are increasingly used to assess structures for design purposes and for the forensic evaluation of past earthquake-induced failures. These simulations require input ground motions to be applied at the top of a stiff layer underlying a soil deposit of interest. The lack of ground motion recordings for these analyses, particularly in poorly instrumented regions, leads to the use of inappropriate ground motions in numerical simulations. To address this problem, the authors presented the double convolution methodology, a practical approach used to modify ground motion recordings to be consistent with conditions at some depth and thus be used as input ground motions. This dataset consists of results from the double convolution methodology for 21 top-of-soil seismic stations from the Center for Strong Motion Data (CESMD). Recorded and modified ground motions are presented, as well as associated data, metadata, and shear-wave velocity (Vs) profiles used in the double convolution methodology. This project is useful for anyone looking to use motions at these locations and propagate them upwards for their desirable application depth.
